This program is designed to prepare young people ages 8-17 for the world of performance climbing and is open to young people of all skill levels (from the very new climber to the vertical veteran).
Training will be held twice a week in a fun and encouraging environment. The goal of this program is to encourage children and teens to increase their confidence by overcoming challenges, gaining mental strength and improving overall physical fitness. We will focus on specific training techniques to improve overall climbing ability, knowledge and strength. Training will include safety; knot tying; rope handling and belaying skills. This program is designed to take climbers to the next level and to push them past their own perceived potential. The program is for young people of all skill levels with the desire to develop as climbers. Our goal will be to prepare climbers to participate in competitions.
Each climbing team will meet twice each week for two hour coached sessions for three months.
